Elizabeth's 2nd Birthday

Our baby girl turned TWO on the 20th!  She INSISTED that she have a doggie birthday party - I tried to persuade her but she knows what she wants & there is no changing her mind.  We had a fabulous time with a few friends.  We made gingerbread houses that Gigi brought all the way from Houston.  We had 10 houses!

E's beloved cake.  The cake maker did an incredible job - copying the invite exactly!
E would have worked on her house all day if I would have let her.  Here she is with her sweet friend Ellen.

E calls herself Daddy's Ariel.  So, my sister got her an Ariel costume.  Ariel is both L & E's favorite "princess"

We are so proud of our DAD!

Ryan has been fearlessly training for his marathon coming up in December. Luke and Elizabeth love to pretend they are training too. We are really looking forward to cheering him on.

Church Pumpkin Patch

Every Halloween, we have a tradition of carving pumpkins and today was the big day. We had so much fun together. Luke's big thing was that he wanted to scoop out the pumpkin GUTS. So of course, E wanted to too. They were cracking us up in their disgust. We also had our church festival this afternoon. They LOVED getting dressed up and getting candy!
Luke's SCARY pumpkin and E's NICE pumpkin

Wedding Day

Ryan's best friend got married last weekend and both Ryan and Luke were in the wedding. Luke did a great job walking down the isle. He was a little disappointed there was no flower girl for him to escort!

The FINISH line

We had a FABULOUS day today. Ryan ran in the Waco Miracle Match half marathon this morning. He is preparing for the White Rock Marathon in December. We had several friends that ran. So, we all loaded up the kids and headed for the race. We waited at the finish line for Dad! Luke was so excited to see him that he couldn't contain himself and finished the race with him. I am SOOO proud of Ryan!!! What an incredible accomplishment. We are looking forward to cheering him on in December!

IT'S A.....

We went to the doctor today and everything looked great. We are excited about meeting our new baby girl February 6th!

Sunday at The Ballpark

A couple of weeks ago, we met some dear friends of ours in Arlington. They were kind of enough to invite us to their box. It was a BLAST!

Luke's Class

I can't tell you how much Luke LOVES school. Yes, he is the cut-up in the pink shirt. What are we going to do with him. He came home today telling me that they learned about mammals - and that he saw cat blood. HMM!?! Cat blood! I figured out that he saw a skeletal picture of a cat - A-HA!!!

Baby Girl's 1st Day of School

My sweet baby girl had her first day of school today. She was so excited to be going to "her" school. She said she was going to play with the balls and babies. She marched right in without looking back - maybe because I promised her ice cream after school ;). My baby is growing up!

Luke's FIRST day

Luke started Montessori last week. I was really emotional the weekend the before, the day of, and I still have my days. It is hard letting go EVERYday - just til 11:30. But, he LOVES it. He truly thinks he is the big man on campus. He has made great friends and is already learning so much. We are so proud of him.

Hilton Head, SC - 2008

Ryan's mom decided that for her birthday she wanted to take the entire family to Hilton Head. It was FABULOUS!!! We had an incredible time. We stayed in a gorgeous house just off the beach. We played tennis. Ryan played great golf. We ate, swam, relaxed, - we were in heaven. The kids loved the beach. It was perfect. We hope to go back every year.

Baby Girl to Little Girl

Both my kids are getting so BIG but E has knocked my socks off. She is talking up a STORM - actually more like a parrot. E ADORES Luke and tries to do everything he does. She has become a very picky eater. Her diet consists of bananas, bread, cheese, chicken nuggets, and anything sweet.

4th of July - 2008

We had a lovely time in Oklahoma for the Fourth this year. All of Ryan's dad's side of the family was there. The kids had a wonderful time with their cousins whom they ADORE.

Madeline, Grandad, and Luke
Ryan's grandfather - Luke loves him!

Griffin and Luke - Luke ADORES Griffin and Grif is fabulous with the kids. He just started high school and is uber smart. Luke would just follow him around and listen to him - since Luke truly believes he is a teenager stuck in a three year old's body.

WHAT?!?

Yes, Elizabeth is going to be a BIG sister which means #3 is on the way. Ryan had no clue. I sent E out like this as she pranced around with the JAW dropping news. Ryan finally got the message and is SOOOO excited. I'm still in shock but am thrilled. It is fun because Luke really understands it this time. The baby is due Feb 6th.
